Compensation:
This is a temporary grant funded 25 hours per week part time position. Salary is established by grant at $25,000 per annum and is prorated on a bi-weekly basis.
Qualifications:
:Bachelors degree required. Masters degree in criminal justice, social work or related field preferred. Experience with youthful offenders and/or youth with mental health or behavioral health experience required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide the leadership and support needed to achieve project goals in accordance with project schedule:
- Increase public safety in Ocean County and decrease recidivism through early identification and treatment of juveniles with mental health and co-occurring disorders in the juvenile justice system
- To improve the mental health of youth to prevent involvement with the juvenile justice system
- Staff the Collaboration Task Force (CTF) and facilitate the development of its vision, mission, structure, goals and objectives
- Schedule appropriate training for the CTF and provide technical assistance as needed
- Schedule and coordinate CTF Meetings
- Take attendance and minutes at all CTF Meetings
- Coordinate and deliver all CTF work products
- Coordinate the work and progress of at least three working subcommittees:
- Process Assessment Work Group – identify strengths and weaknesses of current system through process mapping and make recommendations for improvements
- Data Assessment Work Group – collect and analyze relevant data – including the use of focus groups for relevant data - and make recommendations for improvement – ensure the use of focus groups as appropriate to collect relevant data
- Resources and Services Work Group – make recommendations for improving the coordination of resources and services across all programs/agencies relevant to this project
- Based on the APIC model [APIC: Assess, Plan, Identify, Coordinate], produce a Shared Collaborative Plan by the end of 12 months.
