Senior Real Estate Project Manager
Overview:
Build with Purpose, Inc. (formally known as Real Estate Advisory and Development Services, Inc., READS) is a non-profit real estate development and consulting firm with a mission to build sustainable organizations and healthy, vibrant communities. Summary:
The Senior Real Estate Project Manager performs a variety of activities to support the organization’s mission, mainly managing all phases of the real estate development process for assigned projects from predevelopment to occupancy. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will be required to provide guidance and support to the organization’s Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
Supervision Received:
Reports directly to the President.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the real estate development activities for assigned projects including the development and management of project budgets, tasks and schedules, securing financing, management of development team and construction oversight.
Assist in marketing the organization’s services to develop and maintain a pipeline of business, including seeking and evaluating new projects.
Provide technical support to junior staff in the management of projects across the organization.
Manage client relations and reporting
Assist in the creation of policies and procedures that help to guide the organization’s work.
Assist in the preparation and facilitation of organization budgets, work plans, marketing material, conferences and workshops.
Qualifications:
Applicants with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
7+ years of direct experience in real estate development experience
Working knowledge of real estate finance
Nonprofit/Government work experience
Community development/redevelopment experience
Ability to work as part of a team
Management experience
Construction management/owner’s representation experience
Strong organization and task management skills
Commitment to serving the needs of lower income communities and people with special needs
Working knowledge of various real estate financing sources including New Market Tax Credits, Tax Exempt Bonds, HOME, CDBG, LIHTC, Historic Tax Credits, etc. is a bonus but not required
Experience working with various government entities including HFA’s, redevelopment authorities, etc. a bonus but not required
Other tasks as requested by the President
