Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). Enhances the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing support to ensure quality partnerships.

The Center for An Accessible Society is designed to focus public attention on disability and independent living issues by disseminating information developed through NIDRR-funded research to promote independent living.

Center for Law and Social Policy. CLASP seeks to improve the economic security of low-income families with children and secure access for low-income persons to our civil justice system through education, policy research, and advocacy. Their site offers news on initiatives and legislation and links to relevant publications.

Center on Budget and Policy Priorities The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities is a nonpartisan research organization and policy institute that conducts research and analysis on a range of government policies and programs, with an emphasis on those affecting low- and moderate-income people. Their new section at http://www.cbpp.org/state, provides a central location for state-level policymakers, analysts, and media to access the full depth and breadth of CBPP's state policy work.

Center for Community Change is a national affordable housing intermediary.

The Center for Health Care Strategies, Inc. serves as the National Program Office for national initiatives as a non-profit, non-partisan policy and resource center.

The Center on Urban Poverty and Social Change produces comprehensive poverty-related information in local and regional contexts.

Center for Inclusive Design & Environmental Access (IDEA) is dedicated to improving the design of environments and products to people with a wide range of abilities.

Coalition to Preserve the Fair Housing Act. An alliance of civil rights, disability, fair housing and human services advocacy organizations.

Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH).  CSH is a national organization that provides technical assistance to non-profits developing supportive housing.  The site has a link to CSH's New Jersey office.

The Consortium for Citizens with Disabilities is a coalition of approximately 100 national disability organizations working together to advocate for national public policy that ensures the self determination, independence, empowerment, integration and inclusion of children and adults with disabilities in all aspects of society.

The Consortium for Housing and Asset Management's (CHAM's) mission is to better enable community-based organizations and others in the nonprofit housing industry to responsibly own and professionally manage affordable housing.

DigitalDivideNetwork.org is a one-stop online resource designed to raise awareness about the gulf that exists between those citizens who have access to information technology and the skills to use it effectively and those who do not.

DisabilityResources.org has a New Jersey section on its website that links to New Jersey resources on legal rights, financial assistance, assistive technology, health, housing, vocational rehabilitation, and other links for  almost every type of disability.

Disability Rights Advocates (DRA) is a national and international non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and advancing the civil rights of people with disabilities. 

Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund Inc. is a national law and policy center dedicated to protecting and advancing the civil rights of people with disabilities.

Easter Seals is a national organization with local chapters serving persons with disabilities.

Enterprise Foundation is a national affordable housing intermediary.

Evidence-Based Practices. An Evidence-Based Practices Resource Kit developed through a contract from SAMHSA.

HomeBase is a national affordable housing intermediary.

Human Services Research Institute has many studies on a variety of issues including support services and assessment.

The IDAnetwork web site serves as a gateway to individuals, organizations, and ideas that shape the Individual Development Account (IDA) field.

Institute on Independent Living serves self-help organizations of disabled people offering training materials, technical assistance, and information.

Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is a national affordable housing intermediary.

The National Accessible Apartment Clearinghouse (NAAC) connects individuals with disabilities with apartments that have been designed for, or adapted to meet their needs.

National Alliance to End Homelessness is a national advocacy organization for the homeless.

National Association of Developmental Disabilities Councils (NADDC) is the national association of state DD Councils.

National Association of State Mental Health Program Directors (NASMHPD) is the national organization of directors of state mental health agencies. The site has information, including their endorsement of supportive housing and links to interesting activities in other states, for example Oregon's plan to develop supportive housing for the mentally ill.

The National Empowerment Center aims to "carry a message of recovery, empowerment, hope and healing to people who have been diagnosed with mental illness." The Empowerment Center offers information and referral, a newsletter, conference planning, advocacy, and research.

The National Center on Physical Activity and Disability (NCPAD) encourages and supports people with disabilities who wish to increase their overall level of activity and participate in some form of regular physical activity.

The National Center for Housing Management is a nonprofit trainer of property managers of affordable housing. Their site lists their course curriculum and you can register for classes online.

National Coalition for Homeless Veterans (NCHV) NCHV seeks to eliminate homelessness in the veteran community and work its way out of business.

The National Coalition for the Homeless is a national advocacy network of homeless persons, activists, service providers, and others committed to ending homelessness through public education, policy advocacy, grassroots organizing, and technical assistance.

National Council on Independent Living is a membership organization that advances the independent living philosophy and advocates for the human rights of  people with disabilities

The National Home of Your Own Alliance and Fannie Mae has prepared A Home of Your Own Guide for persons with disabilities who want to become homeowners. The comprehensive guidebook provides a wealth of information and resources on becoming a homeowner.

National Housing Institute The National Housing Institute is a 24-year old independent nonprofit organization that examines the issues causing the crisis in housing and community in America.

The National Interfaith Hospitality Network is a national, non-profit organization that assists religious and community organizations in developing and operating Network programs.

National Resource Center on Homelessness and Mental Illness.

The Neighborhood Reinvestment Corporation was created under Title VI of the Housing and Community Development Amendments of 1978 to implement and expand the activities of the Urban Reinvestment Task Force.

The National Law Center, established in 1989, serves as the legal arm of the national movement to end homelessness in America.

The National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) is the only national organization dedicated solely to ending America's affordable housing crisis. The NLIHC is committed to educating, organizing, and advocating to ensure decent, affordable housing within healthy neighborhoods for everyone.

The National Organization on Disability promotes full and equal participation of America's 54 million men, women and children with disabilities in all aspects of life.

Pratt Institute Center for Community and Environmental Development is a regional training and housing advocacy organization.

Reintegration.com is a website designed to act an on-line resource for those seeking to control mental illness and pursue a meaningful life through reintegration into the community.

Stand Up for Rural America provides information on resources for Americans living in rural areas.

The State of the States in Developmental Disabilities was established in 1982 to investigate the determinants of public spending for mental retardation/developmental disabilities.

Technical Assistance Collaborative is a Boston-based, non-profit organization providing consultation and technical assistance to governments and community organizations in the health, human services and supported housing fields.

WebAble offers information on recommended technology, training, seminars to benefit persons with disabilities.

Center for Community Change International (CCCI). Their web site features a Resource Library full of housing reports, manuals, instruments, and articles. All publications can be ordered right from the web site. 

Mental Disability Rights International (MDRI) is a non-governmental advocacy organization dedicated to the recognition and enforcement of the rights of people with mental disabilities.

TASH is an international association of people with disabilities, their family members, other advocates, and professionals fighting for a society in which inclusion of all people in all aspects of society is the norm.

VSA arts VSA arts is an international organization that creates learning opportunities through the arts for people with disabilities. Also visit New Jersey's VSA site.

ADA Watch ADA WATCH is an informational online network designed to activate grassroots responses to threats to the ADA. 

Cornell University Program on Employment and Disability (PED)  offers a variety of publications and research on employment issues regarding persons with disabilities.

Cornucopia of Disability Information (CODI) acts as a community resource for consumers and professionals by providing disability information in a wide variety of areas.

Coyote Communications Technology Tip Sheets help not-for-profit and public sector organizations reap program-enhancing, money-saving benefits from technology.

The Red Cross offers information on disaster preparedness for people with disabilities.

The Disability Rights Activist website brings together much of the information needed to enable anyone interested in the rights of disabled people to work for those rights.

The Disability Social History Project seeks to preserve and examine the history and culture of people with disabilities. Their site includes biographies of disabled activists and philosophers, the history of the disability rights movement, and links to news, events, and conferences. 

Emerging Horizons is a web resource for persons with disabilities who are planning a vacation or a business trips.

enabledonline.com (EOL) is an online magazine based in Columbia, S.C. that debuted on Memorial Day of 2000. The site offers fun and informative stories, editorials, forums, and other resources that allow persons with disabilities, their loved ones, and caregivers a place to connect.

Family Village an online source that offers resources for people with disabilities, their families, and for those that provide disability services.

Justice For All was formed along with the JFA E-mail Network to defend and advance disability rights and programs in the 104th Congress.

The Knowledge Exchange Network (KEN) of the Center for Mental Health Services is a web site that provides valuable information on mental health issues.

The Law, Health Policy & Disability Center of the University of Iowa's College of Law is an emerging leader in technology, education, and research, focused on improving the quality of life for persons living with disabilities.

MossRehab ResourceNet is the web site of the Pennsylvania hospital MossRehab. Their site provides current news on disability issues, fact sheets that give medical information on specific disabilities, and other links to resources on employment, education, government support, sports participation, and accessible travel.

Supreme Court Vote.org has information on the potential impact of new Supreme Court Justices on The Americans with Disabilities Act.

Spirit of the ADA page sponsored by American Association People with Disabilities (AAPD). They are asking individuals, elected officials, and organizations to sign the Spirit of the ADA pledge.

US Law provides a wide variety of information on legal issues including those impacting on persons with disabilities.
