Residential Youth Advocates

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark, one of New Jersey's largest social service agencies, is the multi-service agency of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark serving the people of Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union Counties.
We are currently seeking three Residential Youth Advocates for our Strong Futures Program, a supportive housing program for females ages 16-21 who are homeless or aging out of the child welfare system. Strong Futures provides the support and training that each youth needs in order to develop self-sufficiency skills and make a successful transition to adulthood and permanent housing.
You will be responsible for carrying out designated services in the residential program, monitoring the activity of residents to ensure that the program directives and goals are maintained, and functioning as an integral part of the program team. This is a live-in position. ROOM AND BOARD PROVIDED.
Requirements Include:
• High school diploma/GED
• Valid driver's license
• Ability and willingness to establish and maintain a harmonious working relationship with clients, staff, professional and business community contacts and the public
