Housing Specialist - reports to director of Housing Development

Qualifications
1-2 years experience of affordable housing with tenant income certification experience.  Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.

Must have the ability to work collaboratively with other professionals, and experience with Word and Excel. Effective organizational skills and the ability to multi-task required

Duties and Responsibilities :

1. Perform annual lease renewals, including preparing and reviewing applicant certifications and resident re-certifications for adherence to applicable program subsidies;
2. Create property inspection lists and inspect properties;
3. Attend and participate in pre-development and construction meetings;
4. Participate in various facets of the development process for upcoming projects;
5. Maintain waiting list for rental housing;
6. Enforce rent collections;
7. Anticipate and respond to tenant maintenance requests;
8. Perform regular inspections of rental units, common areas, and building exteriors;
9. Manage day to day relationships with vendors and monitor vendor performance by regular inspections;
10. Maintain landlord/tenant relationships;
11. Lease management duties on behalf of NewBridge Services;
12. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless housing management;
13. Work on special projects as assigned by the Director of Housing Development;
14. 20% local, in-state travel.
