The SHA Advocacy Committee is designed to select pertinent state and federal public policy, legislative, and regulatory issues that SHA should address. The Committee should plan a process for legislative outreach and coverage, including strategic partnerships, and advocating with relevant state departments and leadership. The Committee will review important pieces of legislation and regulation for endorsement or opposition and will testify, along with SHA staff, at designated budget and legislative hearings.

Any current member of SHA is eligible to join the SHA Advocacy Committee. Members who are interested in joining may contact Kate Kelly at kate.kelly@shanj.org to join.

The Advocacy Committee meets monthly either following a regular membership meeting, or during a dedicated advocacy session.  SHA members may email Kate Kelly for details on the next upcoming session and to RSVP.
