Corporation for Independent Living (CIL) partners with care service providers to develop safe and accessible housing for those with I/DD, ABI, and other disabilities to enable the independent living, support, and services they need to be fully engaged in their communities. We were founded by service providers who recognized that people and families thrive best when they have a place to call home – and are fully included in the community.

Service providers need an ally to navigate the complexities of real estate to make those homes within the community a reality. CIL serves as that ally. As a non-profit, we put people before revenue and personal and community growth above all else. And since many of our clients are also non-profits, we share a similar approach and commitment – meaning we’re on the same page from the very first discussion. We offer three primary solutions to take the “hard” out of the real estate development process: Community Residences; Development Support; and Accessibility Improvements.

Every project starts with a conversation. Let’s Chat: www.cil.org

The Camden Coalition is a multidisciplinary, community-based nonprofit working to improve care for people with complex health and social needs in the city of Camden, across New Jersey, and around the country. We develop and test care management models and redesign systems in partnership with consumers, community members, health systems, community-based organizations, government agencies, payers, and more, with the goal of achieving person-centered, equitable care.

As one of New Jersey’s four Regional Health Hubs, we work with regional partners, New Jersey’s Medicaid office, and other state agencies to expand data-sharing and collaboration between organizations so that patients across South Jersey experience seamless, whole-person care.

Description: New Community Corporation (NCC) in Newark, New Jersey, is one of the largest and most comprehensive community development organizations in the country. Founded in 1968 by Monsignor William J. Linder, then a young parish priest, and a group of community leaders, NCC was born out of the civil unrest that spread through inner cities like Newark during the late 1960s. The mission of New Community is to help residents of inner cities improve the quality of their lives to reflect individual God-given dignity and personal achievement.

New Community’s programs include a Family Resource Success Center that serves clients with everything from emergency food assistance to help paying utility bills. Our 102-unit shelter, called Harmony House, serves hundreds of homeless families every year, most of them single mothers and children. Clients are provided with a host of on-site support services like child care, job search and workshops intended to help with goal-setting and activities of daily living. New Community also owns and manages about 2,000 units of housing for seniors and families in Newark, Orange and Jersey City, ranging from high-rises for the elderly to family townhouses.
